How to use this page

Each row is one paper. Click a title to open its brief: what it says, why it matters, how well it fits an Unjournal evaluation, and how much attention it is getting now.

  • One rating scale. Every row has the quick scale -- - ~ + ++, so you can work straight down the list. Each step stands for a priority percentile (10, 30, 50, 70, 90). Clicking one opens the rating panel with that value chosen; add a percentile or a comment if you like, then save.
  • The panel keeps the brief visible, and Next steps through the list. Use Close or Escape to return to the list. Unsubmitted edits stay in the panel during this visit; use Save rating to submit. Ratings count on the dashboard too.
  • For private remarks (possible evaluators, conflicts, concerns), use the panel's discussion box and set it to Unjournal team only.
  • Filter with the bar above the list; click a column heading to sort by it. The list starts sorted by attention.

Hover or tab to any dotted label for an explanation.

Where your ratings go
  • Ratings use the dashboard's own rating form, so they appear in the same aggregates and follow the same privacy rules. You choose who can see any discussion you add.
  • Everyone can see the tally. The Ratings so far column shows all current ratings of each paper, without names. Try to form your own view first; this is a rough exercise, not a precise one.
  • Earlier Keep/Maybe/Drop picks. Until 6 Oct 2026 this page had a separate Keep/Maybe/Drop pick. Those picks now count as ratings: Keep = +, Maybe = ~, Drop = -. If the same person also rated the paper, their rating counts instead, and rating a paper now replaces your converted pick. The original pick counts are still available: tick Show original Keep/Maybe/Drop picks above the list. Notes sent with picks stay private.
  • No double counting. This page and the dashboard share one rater key per browser. Rating a paper here and then on the dashboard (or the reverse) updates one rating; it does not add a second.
  • Your name and email are saved in this browser and reused by the dashboard's forms. They are never published.
